Our Campaign

Engage    Connect    Define    Influence

Imagine a community where every member, regardless of their abilities, has unlimited opportunities to pursue their dreams, while developing connections with those in their neighborhood, school, and workplace.

The first Treasure House community will open in Spring 2016 as an affordable, sustainable, and replicable model for a supportive living environment for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).  It will serve as a prototype for similar developments around the country, giving young people with IDD the option of living in a warm and caring environment where they are each treasured for their individual gifts.  The success of our program will result not only in more living options, it will also empower a wide variety of community members to advocate more effectively for changes in federal and state policies that will lead to enhanced programs and services for young adults with IDD.

Treasure House is partnering with corporations, foundations, and individuals to help build and fund the 30-unit residence for 24 young adults and 6 staff.  Our architects have designed a beautiful 36,000+ square foot structure, with individual apartment-styled rooms for residents and live-in staff; community living,  dining, gathering, and recreational spaces; a commercial kitchen; and staff offices. The grounds are nicely styled to accommodate several patio areas, sports and recreation opportunities, and a performance space. By reducing the debt of the building and construction through a capital campaign, the Treasure House residents will have an affordable living option, in mortgage-free building.

Wish to make your imprint on this first Treasure House in the Valley?  Join us in our goal to make this model so successful that replication across the country will occur, thereby changing the landscape and potentially polices for young adults with disabilities.
