Brenda & Kurt Warner, Co-Founders
Kurt Warner is best-known for his success on the football field as a former NFL quarterback and Super Bowl MVP. After a successful 12-year career, Warner retired in 2010 and currently utilizes his knowledge as an analyst for NFL Network. Warner is also well-known for his work off the field, as a philanthropist, man of faith, and father of seven. He and his wife, Brenda, created the First Things First Foundation in 2001, which serves as a vehicle for them to reach out to the community and share their blessings with those in need.
Brenda Warner is a former US Marine, New York Times best-selling author, and passionate philanthropist. She has toured the country as a featured speaker for Women of Faith Christian Women’s Conference, and shared her unbelievable story with thousands. Warner, who has seven children, has shared her vision of a safe and loving home for people with disabilities to create Treasure House.
A.J. is a Partner at Lohman Company, PLLC, providing assurance and consulting services to privately held companies throughout Arizona. He works closely with business owners and management groups in various industries, including construction, manufacturing, distribution, technology, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, he specializes in working with private country clubs. A.J. earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science is Business Management – Finance from Northern Arizona University and holds a CPA license in the State of Arizona. A.J. and his wife currently reside in Mesa with their two sons.
Don Cardon, the Chief Executive Officer of Cardon Development Group, is a powerful force in the state of Arizona. Through leadership and determination, Cardon brought his vision for the heart of Phoenix to life, in the form of CityScape. The mixed-use development is the largest private investment in Downtown Phoenix history. Cardon was subsequently recruited by Gov. Jan Brewer to lead as the Director of the Department of Commerce, until he returned to the private sector in 2012. Cardon Development Group is responsible for Aspera at Joy, the development of which Treasure House is a part.
Mark Dalton enters his 11th season with the Arizona Cardinals and oversees the team’s media relations and publicity operations. In 2009, the Cardinals were recognized with the Pete Rozelle Award from the Pro Football Writers of America as the league’s top media relations staff. Prior to joining the Cardinals, Dalton previously served on the public relations staffs of the Buffalo Bills (1998-2004) and the Philadelphia Eagles (1991-94) of the National Football League. He also worked with the New Jersey Devils of the NHL (1996-97) and Birmingham Barracudas of the CFL (1995). A native of West Chester, PA, Dalton is a graduate of Temple University.
Allison Dozbaba is a Tax Partner with Wallace Plese + Dreher, has 15 years of combined industry and public accounting experience, and provides comprehensive tax planning and consulting to privately-held companies throughout Arizona. Working closely with company owners and management, she develops their financial statement tax provisions and prepares federal and state income tax returns. Specializing in corporate taxation and deferred income tax provisions, she assists clients with U.S. reporting of global activities, transfer pricing, and tax planning. She manages the Firm’s nonprofit tax services and compiles financial data for tax-exempt organizations, including charities and private foundations. Allison earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Arizona University and holds an Arizona CPA license.
John Fevurly is Director of National Accounts at Merck & Co. Inc., a premier, research-intensive global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to providing innovative medicines, vaccines, and animal health products to improve lives. During his 33 years of sales and marketing, he has collaborated with the world’s largest pharmacy benefit management companies and health insurance companies on defining and implementing quality strategies, scientific and health policy collaborations and improving patient outcomes. John holds a BA from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business. John and his wife Jana have three sons who are all Eagle Scouts. They are currently attending Arizona State University, University of Arizona and Notre Dame Preparatory High School. John is honored to share in the mission of Treasure House.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from DePauw University. He began his business career overseeing assets for Procter and Gamble and Mobil Oil Corporation. In 1989 he began managing portfolios for individuals and corporate clients. In September of 2010, Dan joined RBC Wealth Management as a Senior Vice President following many years as a Senior Vice President at Smith Barney Citigroup. He received recognition in 2011 at RBC Wealth Management becoming a member of the firm’s Director’s Council. In addition, he holds several industry designations (Series 7, 63, 65, 66 and Life and Health Insurance Licenses). Dan and his wife, Sydney and their three children live in Paradise Valley, Arizona. He is a very active community leader serving as a member of The Phoenix Thunderbirds. Dan was also a founding board member of Desert Voices Oral Learning Center and is a past board member of the Safari Club International, Arizona Golf Association and Paradise Valley Country Club.
Sandra Margetis, RN, BSN, MBA, Lieutenant Colonel, USAF (Ret.)
Sandy’s career began in the US Air Force (USAF), as a Flight Nurse during the Persian Gulf War (‘90 – ’91) and leading the deployment & operations of aeromedical evacuation teams during Operation Enduring Freedom (‘01 – ‘02). She retired after 26 years as the Deputy Commander of the 146th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As a reservist she leveraged her medical background working 28 years at Abbott Laboratories, in sales and contracting leadership positions as well as Patient and Community Outreach program development. Sandy is committed to using her health care experience to improve the lives of those in need.
Keaton Merrell has over 18 years of experience in Capital Advisory Services including mortgage banking, mortgage brokerage and direct mortgage lending. His experience includes business development and extensive negotiating and underwriting of commercial and multifamily loans. Keaton moved to Arizona in 1984 to attend Arizona State University where he graduated in 1988 with a degree in Business Finance. Keaton in active in the community both through industry associations and civic causes.
Robin is the President and CEO of the Black Chamber of Arizona, President of Occam Sustainability Partners (OSP) an international sustainability solutions consulting firm that provides energy saving strategies and Principal & Partner with EmFluent a corporate coaching and consulting company. Robin’s experience in business ownership and business consulting has created a foundation in understanding the needs of business owners and individuals to help them define, execute and meet their financial and professional goals.
Rock has been active in the commercial real estate, architecture, and construction industry for over 30 years. He has held a variety of positions in economic development and business development organizations in Arizona since 1999. He has served on the boards of Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), The Business Development Guild, Scottsdale Cultural Council, and is a past President of the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED).
Kim Rinehart has worked for AAM as a community manager for Del Webb Communities for over 15 years. She currently manages Sun City Festival in Buckeye, Arizona. Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Arizona State University and has lived in the Phoenix area for over 40 years. Kim has been married for 25 years and has two grown children. Kim has been part of the special needs community for over 15 years. Being a mom of a child with Autism, Kim has volunteered to help many other parents on how to navigate the system and advocate for your child. Kim also volunteered at the Humane Society for 3 years with her special needs daughter.
Doug Singer has spent over 30 years in sales, operations, and business development working in the fields of finance, insurance, risk management, politics, technology, and construction. Doug moved to Scottsdale from Seattle in 2004 and has been a respected mainstay in the Valley market building relationships across all lines of business. Doug graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and his MBA from The Ohio State Max M. Fischer School of Business. Doug has served on numerous boards, non-profits, and has mentored a number of young entrepreneurs in both Seattle and the Valley. His two daughters attended Xavier College Prep, then Barrett Honors College at ASU.
Mark Stebbings is Executive Vice President and Director of Commercial Real Estate Banking Group for National Bank of Arizona®. He specializes in construction, bridge and term loans within various sectors including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, hotel and homebuilding. Mark has been part of the Zions Bancorporation team for 17 years and he’s been in Commercial Real Estate lending for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree and an Executive M.B.A from Arizona State University. He is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
Justin D. Steltenpohl is the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel for P.B. Bell. He is responsible for all development, acquisitions and asset management for P.B. Bell, as well as all legal matters, including corporate governance, negotiating joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and financing transactions. Prior to joining P.B. Bell, Justin was a partner with Squire Patton Boggs, heading the financial services group in the firm’s Phoenix office. In addition to Squire Patton Boggs, Justin also served as Vice President, Regional Counsel for Meritage Homes. Justin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from The University of Toledo and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Toledo College of Law, where he was valedictorian of his graduating class. In his free time, Justin enjoys spending time with his two wonderful children and is an avid Ohio State football fan.
Cygne LaShae Swan
Cygne Swan is a multi-faceted entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist. She is the founder, CEO, of C Wright Aviation; Founder of Cygne Jets; Artisan designer and founder, CEO of Cygne Boutique, a niche Chicago based luxury retailer of artistically creative chic designs for women; Initial founder and affiliate member of Swan Insurances Services.
In 1990, at a very young age, Cygne began handling the day-to-day operations for her family’s real estate development organization. The family’s non-profit company built homes for underprivileged families. Later she become Co-chairman, developer of her family’s business. Cygne’s volunteer work with The Chamber of Commerce of Homewood in 2000, gave her a jump start in the community as an entrepreneur in business. Born to a Hispanic father and American/African, Cherokee Indian mother, Cygne was raised in Schererville, Indiana and Homewood-Flossmoor, Illinois. She studied Business Psychology.
Sadie Tedder has worked for HonorHealth for over 15 years in the radiology field. She started her career in patient care as a Radiologic Technologist and later transitioned to supporting the Radiology I.T. infrastructure. She is currently a senior analyst responsible for building and maintaining the electronic medical record software for the HonorHealth network. Sadie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Grand Canyon University. Sadie has served on event committees for several fundraisers and is actively involved with the American Cancer Society and is a teen mentor for the Steps To Success program which focuses on engaging and supporting teens at risk of dropping out of high school. Sadie and her husband Chris reside in Gilbert with their two children, Chase and Andrew.
Jeff is the Chief Financial Officer for P. B. Bell with responsibilities of managing the financial operations, financial analysis and cash management functions. Additionally, he is responsible for raising both debt and equity capital for development and acquisitions projects. Jeff has over twenty years of experience in real estate development, debt placement and in establishing institutional and private equity partnerships. He previously worked at Harsch Investment Properties, and at Evergreen Devco, Inc. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Jeff has worked with various schools and public agencies teaching women’s and children’s self-defense, awareness and anti-bullying techniques. Jeff, his wife Brantly, and their two children reside in Gilbert.
President and founding Principal of the Phoenix-based architecture firm Todd & Associates, Inc., Gary has 30 years of design and leadership experience. Since founding the firm in 1981, he has played a major role in the development of numerous highly-successful projects throughout the country.
