Treasure House's Third Annual Cornhole for a Cause
Raises $55,000 for Supportive Living Residence

Treasure House, a supported living residence for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs), hosted its third annual Cornhole for a Cause on May 20, 2023. The Treasure House cornhole tournament fundraiser brought 215 game changers together at Hole 9 Yards in Gilbert.  In addition, 27 individuals and companies sponsored the fundraiser. As a result, the event raised $55,000 in benefit of Treasure House Phoenix. This is double the success of the 2022 event! The nonprofit believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive with their abilities.

Cody Bisetti and Clayton Marty won the upper bracket cornhole tournament, earning the title of Champions of Inclusion. The traveling cornhole trophy is special. It is the torch that Treasure House co-founder and NFL Hall of Famer, Kurt Warner, carried at the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Torch Relay in St. Louis, Missouri.

It is evident that community is dedicated to helping Treasure House provide residents with a supportive community and personalized plan for achieving independence, inclusion, and purpose as they transition into adulthood. “Through generous support at the Treasure House Cornhole Tournament, residents have the same chance to lead a fulfilling life as anyone else. We’re all about removing stigmas and promoting independent living and personal growth,” said Lauri Tanner, Treasure House CEO. “Our valuable contributors empower residents by unlocking opportunities and investing in a brighter future.”

The signature fundraiser brings residents, families, donors, community partners, and local leaders together for an afternoon of competitive and charitable fun. Participants of all experience levels enjoy complimentary food and beverage, and opportunities to bid on incredible silent auction items.
